Robert B. Stewart Performance Hall
Project
It's a project long contemplated at BCT, but we've
never had the money to afford it. Now with Bob Stewart's generous $100,000 gift
as a starter, we can finally go forward with the creation of the Robert B.
Stewart Performance Hall.
The idea is to construct a space that can be used for rehearsals or performances
of plays that wouldn't warrant the use of the regular auditorium and stage.
The current idea is to build a room (similar in size to the present lobby) on
the south side of the auditorium. With approximate dimensions of about 30' x
40', it will allow rehearsals of one show, while the bigger, musical type shows
can be worked on the main stage.
All that is needed is the approval of the Bremerton City Council, a realistic
estimate of the cost of construction, a building contractor for the job, and
we're off!
