It's
the opening night of a new play doing its out-of-town tryout in Boston. The
scene is the leading lady's suite in Boston's ritziest hotel where we get to see
what actors are doing just before the show opens for the first time—including
what happens to them when they decide that the play is a total disaster. Wild
comedy ensues as the cast congratulates themselves, only to come back ready to
commit murder in the 2nd act. Our new playwright is dejected over the antics of
these theatre people, but things finally brighten up when some of the critics
like the play.
Author Moss Hart is well known for the plays he wrote in collaboration with
George S. Kaufman,

You Can't Take it With You.
