BREMERTON COMMUNITY THEATRE MOVES ON TO AACT REGIONAL COMPETITION
For the first time since 1997, BCT hosted the Washington State Community Theater Association Festival, also known as Kaleidoscope. The festival ran for three days, and was capped off with a packed house for the Awards Brunch on March 3rd, held in the beautiful Fountain Room at the Kitsap Conference Center. By all accounts, Kaleidoscope 2013 was a rousing success! Thanks to all the amazing volunteers and production staff who worked tirelessly to roll out the red carpet and show our guests and fellow thespians a great time!
Bremerton Community Theatre's production of The Thread Men by Thomas Dunn was presented during the afternoon session on March 2nd, and competed with seven other community theaters from across Washington State for a chance to move on to the regional competition in Richland, Washington. BCT (and Spokane Civics’ production of The Turn of the Screw by Jeffrey Hatcher) were both chosen as Outstanding Production and will compete in the Region IX Festival at the end of the month. The winner of the regional competition will move on to compete in the National Festival, held this year at the Tarkinton Theatre in Carmel, Indiana.
